POST ADOPTION

This service is available to both natural and adoptive parents and their children after an adoption order is granted.

Where there is ongoing contact, arrangements are facilitated by one of Pact’s social workers and periodically reviewed. Since circumstances can change these arrangements may have to be re-negotiated; the most important consideration is the welfare of the child. Assistance and support is given when required.

Even if there is not any ongoing contact post adoption advice and counselling is available at any time until the child reaches eighteen years of age.
